Is 14th Amendment a way out of the debt crisis or constitutional train wreck?
George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley appeared on Countdown with Keith Olbermann to discuss whether employing Section 4 of the 14th Amendment is a way out of the debt ceiling crisis. [See my previous post "Democrats may declare debt ceiling unconstitutional"] Turley didn't question whether the 14th Amendment could be used but cautioned that it might lead to the equivalent of a constitutional train wreck.
