Yesterday I posted that nearly half a million Americans got
health insurance for themselves and/or their families from Obamacare in
October. The official numbers are out
and the total is actually MORE than half a million, with nearly 1 million
applying. The breakdown is different
from what I reported yesterday with more people getting coverage on state
exchanges and fewer on the Federal Exchange.
Here are the numbers HHS just released today. These are the official Obamacare enrollment numbers for
October
975,000 people applied for insurance for themselves and/or
their family
of these:
472,815 have not yet selected a plan and been enrolled and
502,185 got health insurance through Obamacare
of these:
396,000 were eligible for Medicaid or the Children’s Health
Insurance Plan and
106,185 people obtained insurance on the health exchanges
of these:
26,794 obtained
insurance on the Federal Exchange and
79,391 obtained
insurance on state operated exchanges
